Bio

Patty Garcia holds a PhD from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and served as Chief of Staff to Congressman Jesus 'Chuy' Garcia (IL-04). She is the Democratic nominee in the IL-04 primary — running uncontested — and is considered the institutional heir to Chuy Garcia's progressive legacy in the heavily Latino southwest Chicago district. Daughter of Mexican immigrants. Strong support from labor unions and progressive organizations.
