🚩family-moneyMother's Campaign Fund Paying Staffer Working Miranda's Campaign

Lisa Hernandez (Miranda's mother, Cicero Township Supervisor) has a campaign committee that is paying a Democratic Party of Illinois staffer who is also working on Miranda's campaign. Lisa Hernandez's committee also transferred $20K+ to Miranda's fund, raising pay-to-play and nepotism concerns.

Miranda moved to Riverside, Illinois from Washington D.C. after Trump's inauguration in January 2025. In Washington she worked for a congresswoman and two senators, and served on the Senate Judiciary Committee staff and on the DOJ's Reproductive Rights Task Force under Biden. She holds joint J.D./MBA degrees from Northern Illinois University. She is currently a legislative deputy (and previously Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs) in the Cook County State's Attorney's Office.
