Bio
Maggie Trevor was born and raised in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. She earned a B.A. in chemistry and an M.A. and Ph.D. in political science from the University of Chicago. After a research fellowship at Harvard's Government Data Center she taught political science at the University of Iowa. She left academia in 1999 and worked in health care market research in California, including positions at Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Blue Shield of California. In 2011 she joined YouGov America as an operations executive and VP of YouGov Healthcare. In 2014 she returned to Rolling Meadows and founded her own research firm. She became a volunteer on Rolling Meadows' Environmental Committee and served as bicycle and pedestrian liaison to the city's Traffic Committee. Elected to the Cook County Board in 2022 (defeating Republican Matt Podgorski 50.3%-49.7%), she is running for her first full re-election. She focuses on health care access, equitable taxes, environmental protection, and transportation improvements.
